The Baluch people live in adjoining areas of Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. They also can come from northern Iran and Afghanistan and in Central Asia.
The Baluch of Khurasan in Iran and Afghanistan weave piled rugs and the rugs are generally small, narrow, thin and floppy. Colours are dark reds, dark browns, dark blues, orange-reds and black. White is often used as a highlight. The designs are typically geometric repeat patterns.
