The Baluch people live in adjoining areas of Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. They also can come from northern Iran and Afghanistan and in Central Asia.

The Baluch of Khurasan in Iran and Afghanistan weave piled rugs and the rugs are generally small, narrow, thin and floppy. Colours are dark reds, dark browns, dark blues, orange-reds and black. White is often used as a highlight. The designs are typically geometric repeat patterns.

This rug has a tiny hole, the knots are coming away at the ends and the selvedge is coming away at one edge. The price includes this restoration.
