Qashqai kilims with character are now much harder to find so when I do spot one I snap it up. The Qashqai are a confederacy of tribes from the Fars province, southwest Iran. They are known for their excellent weaving skills across a wide spectrum of designs.

This piece has a particularly attractive combination of colours with some abrash.
