A spill on an Oriental rug

Wine stain

In the case of a spill on your Oriental rug use an absorbent material such as teatowel to mop up the liquid. Do not add water as this can spread the stain and could if you are unlucky lead to some dye run.

If the stain remains give me a call to ask for a cleaning quote. Stains I have had removed with 95-100% success rate include flood damage, jam, urine, coffee and latex. Removal of wine stains is variable as it depends on the tannin content. In this case I would arrange a test first. For anything water based especially if recent there is a good chance of getting the stain removed.
